There are a number of apps available that claim to show all the CPADs (Community Public Access Defibrillators) in your area.
In general, they are somewhat unreliable in their accuracy and not as up-to-date as may be required. The key factor is not that they are registered with an independent app that shows you where they are, but that they are registered with THE CIRCUIT that shows the 999 communications staff where they are, enabling them to be deployed to a nearby emergency. Independent apps are not involved in the actual deployment.
The most reliable and up-to-date mapping service is the Defibfinder:
If you follow the link below and enter your postcode or town it will flag up the nearest Public Access Defibrillators to your location. It is also a very useful tool if you are contemplating installing an additional CPAD in your community as it highlights the areas with little or no coverage.
If you are aware of a CPAD in your community that is not shown there let us know and we can arrange the appropriate registration. Furthermore, if you are aware of a CPAD in your area that is not being checked regularly nor funded for consumables, please advise us accordingly.
All new CPAD installations registered through Public Access Defibrillators UK are immediately added to The Circuit.
